I've decided to start posting here again. My little compromise of leaving comments in other journals but not posting in mine makes me crazy, and it probably makes me look like a lurker. Besides, I never really embraced the other journal services when most of my friends remained here. So I'm back.

I held out as long as I could, though. Color me weak.

Does anyone know of a Semagic-type download for Mac? I'd like to post a little bit of the personal, but only if I can do so behind a cut.

In terms of fannish activity, I posted a Superman Returns ficlet recently -- didn't like it, but felt good to post something again; I made my first vid, one for Batman Begins, and it didn't completely suck; and I'm reading SGA and started a 5 Things SGA fic that didn't make enough sense to pursue. Haven't abandoned the 5 Things idea, just that particular opener.

I've missed this.

As always, no hurt feelings if you wish to unfriend. I said I was leaving. I left. I said I was back, but only to comment in other journals. Did that for a bit, but now I'm back to posting again. I'll understand if anyone finds the waffling annoying.

Cool

Welcome back. You were on my default view the whole time. :)

Re: Cool

Thank you! And I've been reading your posts. I've seen you shine your boots at home. Is that boot blacking? But I don't know how that works when you go out. I'm curious.

I couldn't figure out how to make the others work, either. I don't think LJ will be a vital part of fannish infrastructure 5 years from now, but I think people who are multifannish, in particular, were not able to achieve critical mass to leave. (I say this because from what I've seen HP and SPN have somewhat moved their centers of gravity, for perhaps obvious reasons.)

I've wondered if OTW might eventually try to do its own journaling service like lj, but I don't know if that possibility is even part of the conversation. Sure would be cool, though.

I'm actually surprised at how much HP and SPN content I still run across here.

Welcome back!

Perhaps you could give Phoenix a try. I've been using It for the past 5 years or so. There's a version for OSX and Classic users.

I'm terribly distressed by your behaviour. Really. Terribly.

;o)

But you could redeem yourself by writing something Lex-centric.

Hee! Like the Nano I wrote back in September? Which sucks, but I'm thinking of posting the early sections anyway. Definitely Lex-centric.

Anything you like! I just love your Lex. Though, if I had my druthers, I'd luuuuuuuuve to see more Arkham...

Hee! I'd love to see more Arkham, too. I'm not sure where to take it next, however.

Welcome back! I wanted to leave for another journal service, but it was so much trouble I never got around to it.
