In SV we had all kinds of faqs back at the beginning of the fandom for character names, character backstory, episode titles, freaks of the week, DC canon, etc. Does SPN have such faqs/communities/websites? Does SPN have a bnf cadre? A bnf would know where to look for the background you need. How organized is SPN fandom at this point?
It seems to go deep. Very deep. And actually canon isn't that important. They'd come to exorcise a ghost and Scooby-like hijinks would ensue. It's more the voices--I'd butcher.
As to voices, you can't know until you try them on, right? Dean is probably easy.
*thinks* *tries on voice* He loves classic rock and muscle cars, wasting demons, drinking the local beer, and looking out for his kid brother.
Dean looks past Sam to the hunter sitting in gunfighter position near the men's room, an unfiltered Camel stuck to his bottom lip. Son of a bitch looks like he wants something, but damned if Dean knows what. If it has anything to do with Sammy's visions -- with trying to off Sammy because of his visions -- well, something. He knows he'll do something. But he hopes that's not why the dude came in. He'd prefer a quiet evening with the cold piss in this brown bottle and a game of darts with his baby bro.
Not ME, goofball. You. *shoos you away* Go write in Dean voice. He's easy. He's completely Houston. He's why we're plagued with so many classic rock stations. We have guys like Dean all over the place. When I started to write him I thought, "I've slept with this guy. He's having too much fun with the boys to make a good boyfriend. I remember." But he's having fun with Sammy, so... Wincest OTP. Or Dean/another hunter. Or Dean/something he hunts. I told you I read Dean/Constantine once. *drools* THAT was a brilliant fic.
I'm working on my original fic. I tried to cut away from the sex in the first chapter, but letting it go on is revealling more about these two characters than I knew. I guess it's not as bodice-ripper as I thought.

Thanks. It was a good thing that classes were cancelled beyond the selfish reasons, it seems.

"Dean. It's a *fillintheblank* demon," Sam whispered harshly.
"Dude. I know. Get the gun."
"That's not a demon, man," comes a drawled flat Canadian drawl. "That's Dilana."
*amuses self no end.*

J said, "Have you written yet? Get out of here. Go write me a bestseller." It's lovely to have him pushing here at home. :)
