Just made an AMAZING batch of black-eyed peas. I've all but filled the freezer shelves and am moving on to the door which means I've hit the veggie side dishes. Am scouring recipe websites for carrots and broccoli (I have two bags of each), though after doing all that reading, I tend to throw my hands up and invent something.
I also have way too much squash in the fridge. Potatoes, leeks and onions, too. Those scream "soup," but I've run out of freezer room. Still, I've converted almost everything raw in the freezer to cooked, and that was the goal.
Those who don't do the cooking don't get to complain. That's the rule in my house. *nods* Seasonings = chef's choice, and just like on Hell's Kitchen, the only correct resonse is "Yes, Chef!"
