I struggled to write four pages the first day. I use single-spacing in Times New Roman, 12 pt to force myself to write more, more, more, but I worry I won't keep this pace up once school begins. I may resort to double-spacing sooner rather than later.

Got bored with journaling quickly and moved into fic. Wrote part of a scene.

Freezing and storing food for the semester continues. I made a huge batch of Coq au Vin last night. Enough for two meals. For the dinner I actually served the family I went ultra simple: bruschetta topped with fresh mozzarella. I know you can use day old bread, but I started with a fresh loaf of French, lightly toasted. Delicious.

I haven't cooked in so long. During the semester we tend to eat out every night. I blame my commute. One hour of heavy traffic at either end of my day. By the time I get home, I don't want to talk to anyone, much less cook for them. Husband suffers a longer commute than I, so I can't foist the work off on him. I hope all the cooking I'm doing now makes a difference.
