It's my eyelid. I have some kind of jumpy nerve there. It used to come and go, hitting every couple of months, but now it's here several times a day. Should I take some vitamin or miracle oil or something? Does anyone know what might make it go away?

ETA: Giving child a laptop for Christmas. Just installed NetNanny and ha! What a joke. I defeated it over and over. You seem to have two options with this software -- extreme lockdown and wild west. Not much in between. Otoh, man hasn't tried his hand at it. He will undoubtedly have more patience configuring than I. Good luck to him.

I had that, it got particularly bad when my thyroid was acting up. Also, stress is a big factor.

Try relaxtion techniques or chamomelie tea. That might help.

You have this too?!? Mine started about three weeks ago. At first you couldn't see it, but I could feel it twitch. Now it's a visible twitch of my eyelid. I've heard it can be stress or fatigue. Stress maybe...but I'm not nearly as fatigued as I've been in the past. It really bothers me sometimes. If you get any good ideas, please share them.

Ingrid suggests thyroid or stress.

It's making me nuts. HATE it.

My own

Mine does it too. Stress definately. Also, if Ive been drinking coffee and not enough water to go along with it, that brings it on too. But then, I tend to drink more coffee when I get stressed, so....

Re: My own

It's the stack of grading hanging over my head. The self-replenishing stack.

I'll try drinking more water. Can't drink less coffee. That's life. But I can do more water.

Thank you. *hugs*

I've had that happen, and I've always assumed it's stress. My cousin, who's an RN, says it could be a potassium deficiency. But I don't pay enough attention to my banana eating habits to say if there's a connection.

I'm always potassium deficient. I'll try eating bananas. :)

Thanks!

re: net nanny
*snickers*

Yeah, those programs aren't even moderately effective on anyone over the age of say, 12.

Recalls being 15 and ohsoaccidentally typing all sorts of things into search engines, like Playgirl, naked men, David Duchovney full frontal....
Perfectly random misspellings of cancer research, Capital of Pensylvania, and all that, mind you.

I found the pound signs over naughty words cute. "Clark stroked Lex's ####. Lex ###### Clark's mouth while Clark's slick fingers teased the soft skin behind, circling the tight pucker of flesh, pushing in." Very effective blocking. I have no idea what's going on there.

I have no idea if this will work, but have you tried a hot compress to relax the muscle?

Even if it didn't help it would feel tres luxurious. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

I find a little ice held on the spot works. Be careful you don't freeze your eye.
