go read the new chapters of Procul His. I can't believe how frequently [livejournal.com profile] alchemia and [livejournal.com profile] bugland are updating. I've always marvelled at the intelligence in this series. It's nuanced, original, and consistent. It remains up there with my favorite HP fics. I'm tempted to call it my out and out favorite. But I won't. I have too many favorites in HP to choose just one. Still, I want to call it that. The temptation's there.

Hmm. I've managed to never hear of this fic before. What pairing is it? Because the site is all sneaky, and refuses to tell. *grin* I'm assuming that since I've never heard of it, it's probably Snape/Harry. But if it's that good, I'll read it anyway; I just need to be prepared. Reading outside the OTP is hard, yo. *giggles*

Ah yes, sorry we are evil and sneaky that way.

If you're new to this story, you need to start with the 1st "book" which is "A Bittersweet Potion" (its on the same site). I've seen it listed on Rec pages by pairing, pre-slash and even 'gen' :) So its probably "safe" to start with it even if it goes against your OTP. And if it hooks you, keep going with the sequels ;-)

I don't really care how other people list it on rec sites, but I do not post info about that on our site because I don't want people who find it other ways to judge it based on that.

Procul His (2nd book, almost done) becomes slashy near the end. Theres more than one pairing, astute readers may have already noticed 2 m/f couples (but sort of "pre-het" I guess it would be called) and 1 m/m couple in addition to the main pairing, and theres soem others that haven't been hinted at yet.

ah, ok. I'm relatively new to the fandom, so up to this point I've mostly stuck to Harry/Draco. From what I saw from my brief scan, it looks like an interesting series; I'll definitely be checking it out. Thanks for the reply!

Draco plays an important role in the story- it appears to be a minor character in the 1st story, but he actually has a large role that will become apparent in future stories. =) Can't tell you who he's pair with argh, sorry. =)

Ooh! More Draco is definitely a good thing. And don't worry about not spoiling me, I'll just have to read and find out for myself. *grin*

Please come back and tell me what you think. I'm deeply into this fic.

Hey! So, the series ATE MY BRAIN this weekend, and I read both stories and did very little else. I definitely enjoyed them. *grin*

Can't wait for the next stories to be finished! Gah! Another WIP, just what I needed...

Thanks for pointing me towards it! *hug*

I'm glad to hear you say so. I hope you'll drop by [livejournal.com profile] alchemia's and/or [livejournal.com profile] bugland's lj to let one, the other, or both know what you think. They're wonderful people. I'm as big a fan of the authors as I am of their fics.

*hugs back*

Snape/Harry. Definitely. And you don't know this one? Oh, you are SO in for a treat. :)
