(no subject)

I'm new to moderating a community, so I have a question: Does anyone know how to make comments that aren't new additions to the story post with just their subject lines, so you don't see the text unless you click that particular comment? I want the story parts to still show. Um. I hope this question makes sense.

It'll require human intervention, but what you can do is each time someone posts a new part, there's a link to just that particular entry marked by the person's name and icon. (Con't in the next comment, so I can demonstrate.)

I love you. : ) This is NOT the first time you've helped me with lj usage and html code. Thank you. I haven't acted yet, but I will. After the fog lifts from my brain. I think the holidays still have me in their grip.

I wonder *toes dirt* if you might not add a section to the fic? *Bats eyelashes* Or a paragraph? Or even a sentence, maybe?

*hugs*

Oops. I screened instead of linked. Please disregard.

Totally not your fault, I wasn't specific, I'm sorry! When you click on (link) you'll want to copy the URL out of your browser bar, and then paste that into the code when you create a new entry.

I took a risk and actually deleted all non-story section posts. Yes, I fear the wrath of the flist, but it was the simplest alternative, and it hit during a strange burst of exec decission energy.

Didn't stop me from apologizing all over both lj's for doing it.

*hugs*

here's an idea: why don't you backdate an entry that can be called "comments" or whatever, and it will show up BEFORE the story, so the story will always be the newest entry, but whatever discussion or comments people have on each section of the story (or the community in general) will come up too. that way, the comments won't interfere with the story.

This is an excellent idea. The fact I haven't acted on it yet has everything to do with brain fog. I hope it lifts soon.

Thank you sooooooooooooooo much for posting the next section, and for writing Helen in. Talk about compounding Lex's feeling of helplessness. Pretty evil of you. Well done!

I've gushed over your addition in my lj, so do stop by to read.

*hugs you hard*
