And Daughter Moonshine saw Sound of Music on TV last week. She bought her own copy today with allowance money. This is me, feeling proud of her. Sweet kid.

Cute. I watched that for the first time when I was about 11. Two VHS tapes, as I recall. And the songs that stick in your head for months.

Yes -- months and months.

My eyes tear up when I watch. I can't tell whether that's trauma or sentiment. Too many elevators I think. Okay. Trauma. Definitely trauma.
