and write to you from my husband's laptop. I'm in pain from the loss. I don't know whether resurrection will happen. I'm learning the perils of commuting, apparently.
Non sequitur? Not quite. I put the laptop in its padded carrying case, but when I slammed on the brakes during my drive home last night, the case flew off the front seat to hit the dashboard HARD and then fall to the rug below. Lesson learned. Either put the case on the floor or buckle it in. When I got home last night even the rescue disks wouldn't bring it out of its coma.

Good news. Husband just yanked the hard drive and plugged it into his usb port. The hard drive lived.
I was probably overdue to kill a machine. My luck on this score has lasted YEARS.
Will try to post some "Christmas Eve" this weekend regardless.
