I so know that feeling or a variation of it, my puter is in the front room it's about the only space we have for it. Both Pete (hubby) and Robert (son) know what I write & read (Rob's 18 btw) but neither of them are exactly keen on the image. Can get a tad uncomfortable when you're writing to be sat next to a ummm... slightly uncomfortable/disaproving hubby or son *g*.
